RESPONDING TO THE NEEDS OF RWANDAN ARTISANS

Most artists in Rwanda have a difficult time accessing the local market. They either miss out on the growing tourist market completely or are forced to use a middleman to whom they pay a large percentage of their profits. Historically, there has been no space through which Rwandan artisans can directly access clientele. Rwanda Fair Trade Artisan’s Association addresses this reality by providing its members with direct access to the market.
